Statement of Purpose 

 

Purpose

 

Our purpose is to provide high-quality, flexible education for children and young people who cannot access mainstream school, ensuring continuity of learning, safeguarding, and personal development. We work in partnership with Local Authorities, schools, parents and multi-agency professionals to deliver safe, consistent and effective Alternative Provision.

 

 

 

Aims

 

We aim to:

 

  • Deliver personalised, evidence-based education tailored to each pupil’s needs, abilities and circumstances.

  • Provide stable, safe and supportive learning environments for pupils with medical, social, emotional, behavioural or special educational needs.

  • Promote academic progress, emotional wellbeing and readiness for reintegration or next steps in education, training or employment.

  • Ensure that pupils receive their full entitlement to education under statutory guidance, including Section 19 responsibilities and EHCP/EOTAS requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with families and professionals to secure positive, measurable outcomes.

 

 

 

 

Objectives

 

To achieve our aims, we will:

 

  1. Provide individualised timetables offering 1:1 or small-group teaching, flexible delivery and structured progression.

  2. Undertake robust assessments at admission to identify learning levels, risks, strengths and barriers.

  3. Set clear learning targets and review them regularly through half-termly MDT meetings.

  4. Safeguard pupils consistently, following statutory guidance and our Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy.

  5. Employ trained and vetted tutors who receive ongoing supervision, CPD and quality assurance.

  6. Promote attendance and engagement through structured routines and supportive communication with families.

  7. Support reintegration into mainstream education where appropriate, or provide sustained EOTAS pathways where needed.

  8. Record progress and provide timely reports to parents, schools and Local Authorities.

  9. Ensure equality of access, removing barriers related to SEND, health, culture or socio-economic circumstances.

  10. Continuously evaluate our provision, seeking feedback and monitoring outcomes to maintain high standards.
